The Companies (Recognition of Auditors) Ordinance, 2010

In accordance with the The Companies (Recognition of Auditors) Ordinance, 2010, the Registrar has made the following statements:

KPMG Channel Islands Limited, 37 Esplanade, St Helier, Jersey, JE4 8WQ, has agreed to pay a regulatory penalty of £2,500, which was decided by the Audit Registration Committee. This was in view of the firm's admitted breach of Rule 3.10 of the Crown Dependencies' Audit Rules and Guidance, in that an audit opinion was issued under US GAAS, which did not also confirm the audit had been carried out in accordance with ISAs or ISAs (UK and Ireland).

KPMG Audit PLC, 15 Canada Square, London, E14 5GL, has agreed to pay a regulatory penalty of £2,000, which was decided by the Audit Registration Committee. This was in view of the firm's admitted breach of Rule 4.01b of the Crown Dependency Audit Rules and Guidance (CD Rules), for allowing audit reports to be signed by an individual who had not confirmed, in writing, to the Guernsey Registry that he agreed to abide by the CD Rules.

Ernst & Young LLP, 1 More London Place, London, SE1 2AF has agreed to pay a regulatory penalty of £2,700, which was decided by the Audit Registration Committee. This was in view of the firm's admitted breach of Rule 3.10 of the Crown Dependencies' Audit Rules and Guidance, in that two audit opinions were issued under US GAAS, which did not also confirm the audits had been carried out in accordance with ISAs or ISAs (UK and Ireland).
