Company Law Amendments - April 2010
The States of Guernsey released a consultation document on proposed amendments to the Companies (Guernsey) Law, 2008 on 1st April 2010. The Department had reviewed the Law with a view to making necessary and appropriate amendments to address practical issues, to take account of developments in company law elsewhere and to ensure that Guernsey remained a highly regarded and competitive jurisdiction.
The Commerce and Employment Department released the consultation document, available to download below, in order to receive feedback on these proposed amendments to the Law and to ask for industry responses on certain key questions.
Responses to this consultation were due by the 31st May 2010. The department has now considered these responses and is finalising the amendments to the Companies (Guernsey) Law, 2008.
