Intellectual Property Registers
The Guernsey Intellectual Property Office (IPO) keeps registers for trade marks, designs and plant varieties and the office offers one of the most competitive services in the world for registering and maintaining your intellectual property rights. By registering your intellectual property in the Bailiwick of Guernsey you will have exclusive rights to its use in this jurisdiction. These rights can then be licensed to third parties with associated benefits.
In addition to the registers mentioned above, Guernsey has laws and regulations in place which also enable the protection of unregistered intellectual property through, for example, copyrights, unregistered design rights and performers' rights.
