Helen Proudlove-Gains
Deputy Registrar of Companies
Born and bought up in Guernsey, Helen was educated at La Mare De Carteret Secondary School and the Grammar Sixth form. She graduated from the University of Wales, Swansea with an honours degree in Zoology in 1996.
Following a brief stint in the Captive Insurance Industry Helen joined the States of Guernsey as a Trainee Trading Standards Officer in September 1997. After 3 years of extensive study she was awarded the Diploma in Trading Standards, the professional qualification, from the Trading Standards Institute in January 2001 and subsequently appointed to the role of Trading Standards Officer.
Having developed an interest in Law Helen began studying for the Postgraduate Diploma in Law with the college of Law in September 2002, successfully gaining the qualification in June 2004. In October 2006 Helen began working towards the ILM Level 7 Executive Diploma in Management with a view to completion in late 2008.
Helen joined the Guernsey Registry as the Deputy Registrar of Companies in June 2008. Since joining the team she has completed the MSC in Corporate Governance through the University of Bournemouth.
When Helen isn't studying she is a mum to a very active son and tries to be a domestic goddess by keeping up with her household chores. If she does ever get time to herself she likes to get stuck into a good crime novel.
