Limited partnerships are administered by Guernsey Registry on behalf of Her Majesty's Greffier.
Applications to register limited partnerships (see section 8 of the Limited Partnerships (Guernsey) Law, 1995) are currently made in paper format by the general partner (GP) of the limited partnership.
The application must include the filing fee of £350, and a declaration signed by the GP stating the following particulars:
- The name of the limited partnership
- Nature and principal place of its business
- Registered office
- Full name and address of every general partner
- Term of limited partnership and date of commencement of that term
If the limited partnership is to have legal personality (see section 9A of the Limited Partnerships (Guernsey) Law, 1995), the general partners must also declare that the limited partnership shall have legal personality.
Applications can be emailed to email@example.com or posted to the Registry. Payment of the registration fee can be made by Registry credit account, credit/debit card or cheque.
